IMP Information


A technical exhibition featuring the latest ophthalmic products and services, including operating room equipment and supplies, surgical instruments and pharmaceuticals will be on display. Exhibition bookings will be on a first-come-first serve basis and exhibitors should contact the Saudi Ophthalmologic Society at 966508276021 for further details.

Meeting Badges

For identification purposes, all participants and guests are requested to wear their name badges at the symposium venue and all associated functions. Please be advised that if you misplace your name badge, a new one can be obtained at the registration desk at the cost of SR20.00. For security purposes, you are required to wear your name badge at all times.

Speaker Ready Room

To assist program participants with their audiovisual needs, scientific session presenters are requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations and other presentation material to this room at least four working hours before their presentations. Papers that are to be presented at the 8:30 am session should be submitted by 4 pm the preceding day.


Smoking is strictly prohibited in all meeting and exhibition areas.

Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during all scientific sessions, courses, and workshops.

Dress Code

Men are expected to wear a shirt and tie, along with a sports jacket or business suit, for attendance at the Symposium and the Opening Ceremony. Smart casual dress is acceptable for evening social and dinner functions.

Women are expected to observe the modest dress code consistent with Saudi customs and the Islamic religion. All women over the age of 12 must wear an abaya in all public places. Long loose clothing with sleeves that are at least elbow length and skirts/dresses that are at least mid-calf length may be worn under the abaya.
